FAVORITE PRODUCTS

Let’s be honest, my favorite products are always evolving, but I figured I would share what I am currently using and loving!

Here is just a start on some of the products I use on a regular basis. I tend to use both expensive and inexpensive items and I am always looking for my next new favorite.

I recently started using Mario Badescu and I think it is because a small bottle is inexpensive and I love the convenience of just spraying my face after cleaning it. I typically apply the Tula Glow and Get it under my eyes. It has a nice cooling affect and also has caffeine in it. I then like to use Dr. Brandt Pores No More Primer all over my face. As warning, some people with dry skin do not like this primer. However, you could apply a moisturizer first, if you tend to have dry skin. After that, I will apply the Tarte Shape Tape under my eyes. From here, I would apply my foundation. I tend to switch it up depending on the season. In the summer, I was enjoying Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat all-in-one glow. It has an SPF of 23 and is a nice lighter foundation that you can build-up if you like. Now that it is winter, I recently started using Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation, in color Fawn, and love it. It is definitely more of a full coverage foundation and is very buildable as well. You can then use the Charlotte Tilsbury airbrush flawless finish setting powder under your eyes to set the shape tape. I use shade FAIR. This will be lighter than your skin color, but that is ok. It provides a nice pretty finish under your eyes. I tend to bounce around with eye shadows, so just use your favorite palette. I like to use a few colors when I do my eyes and I always highlight under my eyebrow. I do enjoy using Milani Stellar Lights Highlight Palette in Rose Glow on my eyes. I tend to start with it and then build on it with regular eyeshadow. A nice palette to try is Tarte Tartelette 2 in Bloom Clay Eyeshadow palette. I ALWAYS curl my lashes and then I will apply my eyeliner. I like the old fashioned automatic eye pencil for lining my eyes. Mostly because I am just not very good at liquid. I often use something like a Revlon Colorstay eyeliner, or I might use Tarte Sex Kitten eyeliner. I recently started priming my eyelashes before putting on mascara and it has been a game changer! A very affordable one to try, that I really like, is the L’Oreal Voluminous Primer. Let it dry, and then apply your mascara. I bounce around with mascaras too, but a great drug store brand to use is the matching L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara. Do not forget to fill in your eyebrows! This is probably my number one beauty tip I could give you. You can try a powder or a pencil. One of the most popular pencils out there is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Wiz. If you are looking for a bronzer, I do love Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer! It is so nice and smells like summer. A very affordable blush, is the Milani Baked Blush. I sometimes jump around with blush as well since I tend to have a few floating around. I always finish with a setting powder. This is another makeup artist trick that I learned to avoid being shiny in photos. I have used a few setting powders, but my current favorite is Laura Mercier. You just lightly dust it all over your face and it sets your makeup and gives you more of a flawless non-greasy look. I have also been lining my lips with Mac Lip Pencil in the color Soar. After that, I would usually apply Buxom Lip Polish.

When it comes to hair, a makeup artist turned me onto L’Oreal Elnett Satin Extra Hold Hairspray years ago, and it is still my favorite. It holds anything, but brushes out so easily like you have nothing in your hair. If you have pesky grays that pop-up out of nowhere and you need a quick fix, then try L’Oreal Magic Root Coverup. It is my secret weapon in between hair appointments.

OK, there you have it!! I don’t know about you, but I am exhausted! LOL. I have so much make-up and I am always looking for awesome new products to try.

Hope you find something you like!

Laura
